The 1.2.0.001 update added the Polterghast boss and a new Revengeance Mode-exclusive mechanic known as Stress. The update also made various balance changes, reworked the Siren and Leviathan fight, and added a plethora of resprites.

Bosses and Enemies[]

  • Various bosses and enemies now utilize damage reduction.
  • Various bosses and enemies now inflict Horror for varying amounts of time.

  • Astrageldon Slime[]

    • Now gets 104,000 health in Revengeance Mode.
    • Nerfed health from 150,000 / 240,000 to 60,000 / 96,000.

    Astrum Deus[]

    • Now gets 264,000 health in Revengeance Mode.
    • Nerfed laser damage from 80 / 136 to 66 / 108.

    • Body segments now cut the damage of infinitely piercing projectiles by 50% instead of 80%.
    • Adjusted rotation code for orbitting Astrum Deus Probes.

    Bumblebirb[]

    • Increased max amount of clones summoned from 3 / 10 to 5 / 30.
    • Increased overall speed.

    Calamitas[]

    • Calamitas' first phase now gets 21,600 health in Revengeance Mode.
    • Calamitas' second phase now gets 34,400 health in Revengeance Mode.
    • Cataclysm now gets 8400 health in Revengeance Mode.
    • Calamitas now gains 50 defense while Cataclysm is alive instead of 25.
    • Cataclysm can now drop 1 Cataclysm Trophy.

    Ceaseless Void[]

    • Nerfed health in Normal Mode from 200 to 150.
    • Removed Dark Energy's knockback resistance scaling through difficulties.

    Crabulon[]

    • Now gets 7200 health in Revengeance Mode.
    • Decreased size.
    • Increased rate at which it does its slam attack.
    • Now gets its damage boosted to 55 / 88 at 66% health instead of 50%.
    • Now gets its damage boosted to 70 / 112 instead of 65 / 104 at 33% health.

    Cryogen[]

    • Now gets 25,600 health in Revengeance Mode.
    • Nerfed health from 22,000 / 35,200 to 14,000 / 22,400, buffed contact damage from 60 / 96 to 65 / 104, and nerfed its defense from 5 to 0.
    • Nerfed Cryogen's Shield's health from 1000 / 1400 to 500 / 600, and its defense from 5 to 0.
    • Nerfed ice bomb damage from 60 / 120 to 40 / 80 / 92.
    • Nerfed base ice blast damage from 50 / 88 to 44 / 72.
    • Nerfed base ice rain damage from 58 / 100 to 48 / 80.
    • Lowered ice blast and ice rain's chances to inflict Frozen from 10% to 5%.
    • Nerfed Aurora Spirit's health from 280 / 392 to 180 / 252, and its damage from 90 / 126 to 70 / 98.
    • Aurora Spirits no longer inflict Frostburn for 1.67 seconds on contact with the player.
    • Nerfed Cryocore's health from 300 / 420 to 200 / 280, and its damage from 70 / 98 to 55 / 77.
    • Nerfed Cryocore (buffed)'s health from 350 / 490 to 250 / 350, and its damage from 80 / 112 to 65 / 91.
    • Cryocore (buffed) now inflicts Frostburn for 1 second instead of 1.67.
    • Increased the time it takes for Cryogen to despawn.
    • Reduced Frostburn duration from contact from 5 seconds to 1.67.

    Desert Scourge[]

    • Now gets 8320 health in Revengeance Mode.
    • Body and tail segments are now immune to all debuffs instead of just Glacial State.
    • Smaller Desert Scourges now count as bosses.
    • Now cuts the damage of infinitely piercing projectiles by 50% instead of 20%.

    The Destroyer[]

    • Now gains a 1.3x health modifier in Revengeance Mode.
    • Buffed laser damage from 46 / 92 to 48 / 96.
    • Every laser now has a 5% chance to be replaced with a frost laser.

    The Devourer of Gods[]

    • Now gets 1,280,000 health in Revengeance Mode.
    • The second Devourer of Gods spawned later in the fight now has decreased health compared to the original.
    • Body segments can no longer be homed in on.
    • Body segments no longer take 0 damage from Life Drain.
    • Tail no longer has 99,999 defense and can be homed in on if the player does not have the Warped debuff, otherwise, it can not be homed in on and becomes completely immune to damage.
    • Striking its head can now spawn Stasis Probes.
    • Lowered max Stasis Probe count from 30 to 25.
    • Increased speed of all projectiles.
    • Buffed beam portal damage from 124 / 260 to 360 / 600.
    • Increased the size of its beam portals, beam portal lasers, and gravity bombs.
    • Beam portal lasers now last for 8 seconds instead of 5.
    • Decreased beam portal laser speed.
    • Increased overall speed.
    • Now detects the player's speed and adjusts its own accordingly.
    • Now uses Scourge of the Universe as its theme.

    Duke Fishron[]

    • Now gains a 1.5x health modifier in Revengeance Mode.
    • Increased speed.
    • Now gains extra defense when performing certain attacks.

    Eater of Worlds[]

    • Now gains a 1.25x health and damage modifier in Revengeance Mode.
    • Now cuts the damage of infinitely piercing projectiles by 50% instead of 20%.

    Eye of Cthulhu[]

    • Now gains a 1.5x health modifier in Revengeance Mode.
    • Increased speed.

    Golem[]

    • Now gains a 3x health modifier in Revengeance Mode.

    The Hive Mind[]

    • Both phases now get 4800 health in Revengeance Mode.

    Jungle Dragon, Yharon[]

    • Now gets 2,080,000 health in Revengeance Mode.
    • Enrage changed:
      • Now spawns 2 large Infernadoes parallel to where the boss is spawned. These Infernadoes instantly kill the player on contact, and if the player manages to move past them, Yharon will enrage.
      • No longer enrages and alters his behavior based on what type of damage is being inflicted.
      • No longer enrages when outside of the Jungle.
    • Lowered amount of flares that can be fired at once.
    • Now has scaling damage reduction.

    King Slime[]

    • Now gains a 1.4x health modifier in Revengeance Mode.
    • Now generally more aggressive.

    Lunatic Cultist[]

    • Now gains a 3x health modifier in Revengeance Mode.
    • Buffed projectile damage from 60 / 120 to 70 / 140.
    • Increased projectile fire rate.
    • Global hostile damage multiplier increased from 1.35x to 1.45x.
    • Phantasm Dragon now cuts the damage of infinitely piercing projectiles by 50% instead of 20%.

    Moon Lord[]

    • Buffed the damage of Phantasmal Bolts and Phantasmal Eyes from 60 / 120 to 66 / 132.
    • A status message saying "The Curse of the Eldritch consumes your vitality" now appears in chat upon the Moon Lord's first defeat.

    The Perforators[]

    • The Perforator Hive now gets 6400 health in Revengeance Mode.

    The Plaguebringer Goliath[]

    • Now gets 89,600 health in Revengeance Mode.

    Plantera[]

    • Now gains a 1.4x health modifier in Revengeance Mode.
    • Now gets a massive stat boost upon reaching phase 2.

    Providence, the Profaned God[]

    • Now gets 440,000 health in Revengeance Mode.
    • Nerfed contact damage from 130 / 208 to 120 / 192.
    • Profaned Guardians now give Providence boosts which scale with difficulty:
      • If an offensive guardian is alive, she gets an attack boost.
      • If a defense guardian is alive, she gets a defense boost.
      • If a healer guardian is alive, she will slowly regenerate health.
    • No longer gains 99,999 defense during her cocoon phases.
    • No longer gets 120 defense during her holy fire, holy bomb, and molten blast phases.
    • Now has a smaller chance of spawning negative healing flames.
    • Increased both healing flame sizes.
    • Negative healing flames now take 150 health from the player instead of 130.
    • Now inflicts Icarus' Folly for 15 seconds instead of 10.
    • Slightly decreased the offensive and healer guardian's speeds.
    • Now despawns if the player gets too far away from her.
    • Now uses Unholy Insurgency as her theme.

    Queen Bee[]

    • Now gains a 1.25x health modifier in Revengeance Mode.
    • Increased extra damage boost.
    • Increased speed.

    Ravager[]

    • Body now gets 83,200 health in Revengeance Mode.
    • Buffed phase 1 nuke damage in Expert Mode from 320 to 328.
    • Buffed phase 2's body laser damage in Expert Mode from 140 to 168.
    • Buffed free head's rebounding laser damage from 88 / 172 to 116 / 200.
    • Buffed free head's laser damage from 106 / 180 to 136 / 240.
    • Buffed fireball damage from 80 / 160 to 84 / 168.
    • Buffed shrapnel damage from 70 / 140 to 84 / 168.
    • Phase 2's body now fires lasers more often.

    Signus, Envoy of the Devourer[]

    • Now gets 480,000 health in Revengeance Mode.
    • Greatly decreased the amount of dust Signus creates when charging.
    • Can now drop 1 Signus Trophy.

    Siren and Leviathan[]

    • The Siren changes:
      • Now gets 40,000 health in Revengeance Mode.
      • Buffed defense from 20 to 25.
      • Buffed Ice Shield's health from 700 / 980 to 1900 / 2660, and nerfed its defense from 20 to 10.
      • Ice Shield no longer deflects projectiles.
      • Decreased her speed while the The Leviathan is alive.
      • Now switches through attack modes quicker in Revengeance Mode.
      • Damage and defense are now multiplied by 3 if The Leviathan is not present.
      • Upon reaching 50% life, The Leviathan will spawn.
      • Now spawns Siren Clones. One will spawn at 50% life, and another at 25% life.
      • Will now begin charging at the player when under 25% life.
    • The Leviathan changes:
      • Now gets 88,000 health in Revengeance Mode.
      • Buffed defense from 40 to 45.
      • Increased overall speed.
      • Now has a cap of 4 Aquatic Aberrations and 6 Paraseas if The Siren has been defeated, and 2 Aquatic Abberations and 3 Paraseas if she is still alive.
      • Tweaked general speed of her meteors.
      • Increased hitbox size.
    • Siren's War Cry now plays while The Siren is alive, and Leviathan has not been summoned yet.
    • Forbidden Lullaby now plays once The Leviathan is summoned.

    Skeletron[]

    • Head now gains a 1.3x health modifier in Revengeance Mode.
    • Hands now gain a 1.15x health modifier in Revengeance Mode.
    • Altered the rate at which its head cycles between idling and spinning.

    Skeletron Prime[]

    • Now gains a 1.15x health modifier in Revengeance Mode.
    • Increased overall speed, but now speeds up at lower amounts of health.

    The Slime God[]

    • Core now gets 2560 health in Revengeance Mode.

    Storm Weaver[]

    • Now has a cap of 10 Stasis Probes at once instead of 20 in both phases.
    • Can now drop 1 Storm Weaver Trophy.

    Supreme Calamitas[]

    • Now gets 4,320,000 health in Revengeance Mode.
    • Buffed contact damage from 600 / 960 to 800 / 1280.
    • Lowered DPS cap damage from 50,000 to 40,000 if Supreme Calamitas hasn't been defeated yet, and 100,000 to 80,000 if she has been defeated.
    • Brimstone Gigablasts now despawn if Supreme Calamitas isn't alive.
    • No longer applies a damage multiplier to all hostile damage when alive.
    • Brothers can no longer collide with tiles.

    The Twins[]

    • Retinazer now gains a 1.1x health modifier in Revengeance Mode.
    • Spazmatism now gains a 1.45x health modifier in Revengeance Mode.
    • Buffed the amount of defense Retinazer gains if Spazmatism has been defeated from 25 to 40.
    • Buffed Retinazer's homing missile damage from 50 / 100 to 60 / 120.
    • Increased Spazmatism's speed.

    Wall of Flesh[]

    • Now gains a 1.3x health modifier in Revengeance Mode.
    • Increased speed.
    • Increased chance to spawn a second Astral Meteor from 20% to 50%, and a third one from 5% to 25%.

    Enemies[]

    • All enemies now have a chance to drop The Community.
    • Siren's Call now plays when ??? is alive.
    • Killing ??? will no longer spawn both Siren and Leviathan.
    • Enemies now need to have a damage stat of 1 or higher to be able to inflict Irradiated during Acid Rain.
    • Increased the chance for Antlions, Antlion Chargers, and Antlion Swarmers to drop Mandible Bow or Mandible Claws from 25% / 20% to 40% / 30%.
    • Changed Astral Head's knockback resistance from 75% to 85%.
    • All Astral Meteor enemies can no longer spawn if the player is near a Celestial Pillar.
    • Reworked Cnidrion:
      • No longer moves with a modified Fighter Ai while occasionally firing a single water blast.
      • Now swims through blocks towards the player and occasionally stops in place to shoot multiple water blasts at the player.
      • Water blasts now last for 2 seconds instead of 5.
    • Lowered the amount of dust Earth Elementals create when hit by 66%.
    • Post-Devourer of Gods Frost and Pumpkin Moon's hostile damage multipliers increased from 2.2x to 2.5x.
    • Enemies now get weakened attack and health at the start of Hardmode. This effect wears off when any mechanical boss is defeated.
    • Increased the chance for Harpies to drop Sky Glaze from 25% / 20% to 40% / 30%.
    • Hive Cysts and Perforator Cysts now spawn 4 times less often in Hardmode.
    • Increased the amount of Darksun Fragments that post-Yharon Mothrons now drop from 1-4 to 3-6.
    • Killing 30 Phantoms will now spawn Polterghast.
    • Post-Yharon Solar Eclipse's hostile damage multiplier increased from 3.5x to 3.8x.
    • Buffed Soul Slurper's laser damage from 30 / 60 to 64 / 128.
    • Stasis Probe changes:
      • Buffed normal Stasis Probe's health from 1800 / 2520 to 18,000 / 25,200, and its laser damage from 100 / 184 to 160 / 288.
      • Buffed naked Stasis Probe's health from 1500 / 2100 to 15,000 / 21,000, and its laser damage from 140 / 240 to 160 / 288.
      • Both variants now fire lasers more often.
      • Increased laser velocities for both variants.
      • Lasers now last shorter.
    • Lowered the spawn rates of Wulfrum Drones and Wulfrum Slimes.

    • Auric Tesla armor set bonus changes:
      • Now reduces damage by 10% instead of 20%.
      • Now boosts max speed and acceleration by 40% instead of 100%.
    • Auric Tesla and Silva armor set bonus changes:
      • No longer make the player immune to Extreme Gravity and Warped.
      • Nerfed speed and acceleration boosts.
      • Now block 5% of damage instead of 20%.
    • Lowered the amount of time that friendly Brimstone Elemental's hellfire blasts and explosions last.

    • Changed the "half" in Daedalus armor's set bonus tooltip to "1/2".

    • Touching Lava when in the Hell Crag will now set the player's life regeneration to 0.

    • Lowered the life regeneration nerf inflicted on the player in Revengeance Mode after defeating the Moon Lord from -5 to -3.
