The 1.2.1.002 update made further expansions and some rebalances to the Supreme Calamitas fight rework from 1.2.1.001. It also rebalanced many post-Moon Lord weapons, and a few changes to Revengeance Mode vanilla bosses.
Changes
Bosses and Enemies
- Astrum Deus' body segments now take 66% damage from projectiles when under 50% health, and causes all projectiles except for minions to penetrate a maximum of 1 time.
- Astrum Deus' body segments now take 50% damage from Bee Cloak, Holy Arrow, Star Cloak, and Star Veil's stars instead of 33%.
- The Devourer of Gods changes:
- Head and tail now take 1.5x damage from all sources instead of 2x. The decreasing amounts as its life lowers has been reduced from 1.25x minimum to 1.05x minimum.
- Head and tail no longer kill the piercing of all projectiles that contact it.
- Head and tail now take 50% damage from Life Drain.
- Increased Golem's Revengeance Mode health multiplier from 3x to 4x.
- Jungle Dragon, Yharon now transitions into his phases at higher percentages of life. From 70% / 85%, 40% / 50%, 15% / 20%, and 3% to 75% / 85%, 50% / 60%, 25% / 30%, and 10%.
- Plaguebringers now shoot The Plaguebringer Goliath's buffed stingers instead of its normal ones, and no longer despawn if the player is within the Jungle.
- The Plaguebringer Goliath changes:
- No longer spawns a Plaguebringer for every 33% health lost in Expert Mode.
- Stingers now constantly accelerate horizontally, and now last 5 seconds instead of 10.
- Buffed missile barrage damage from 138 / 240 to 164 / 260.
- Plague Mines now automatically detonate after 15 seconds if not triggered or destroyed.
- Increased Revengeance Mode Plantera's contact damage multiplier.
- Tweaked Polterghast's specialized damage resistance formula.
- Buffed Providence, the Profaned God's Holy Blast damage from 140 / 260 to 184 / 312, her Holy Fire damage from 108 / 200 to 150 / 240, her Molten Blast damage from 144 / 260 to 184 / 312, her Holy Bomb damage from 122 / 220 to 168 / 264, and her Holy Spear damage from 122 / 220 to 168 / 264.
- Ravager changes:
- Buffed body's health from 40,000 / 64,000 / 83,200 to 61,000 / 97,600 / 104,000. Post-Providence health buffed from 540,000 / 864,000 to 580,000 / 928,000.
- Buffed head's health from 20,000 / 32,000 to 25,000 / 40,000.
- Buffed flying claw laser damage from 100 to 120.
- Flying claws now shoot more often.
- Fireballs shot from broken claw areas have velocity raised from 14 to 18.
- Head now fires projectiles more frequently.
- Body parts can no longer despawn while the player is alive.
- The Siren and The Leviathan can no longer despawn while the player is alive.
- Storm Weaver can now despawn if the player is too far away.
- Supreme Calamitas changes:
- Buffed bullet hell 2 projectile damages from 300 / 400 to 320 / 440.
- Buffed bullet hell 3 projectile damages from 300 / 400 to 340 / 480.
- Buffed bullet hell 4 projectile damages from 300 / 400 to 360 / 520.
- Buffed bullet hell 5 projectile damages from 300 / 400 to 380 / 560.
- Projectiles from intermediate phases are now despawned when bullet hell segments begin.
- Bullet hell projectiles now greatly increase in speed if the player goes past the border tornadoes.
- Now heavily reduces spawn rates while active.
- Increased fire rate after bullet hell 5 ends.
- Nerfed Soul Seeker's health from 10,000 / 14,000 to 7500 / 10,500.
- Slightly expanded the border tornado positions.
- Now takes 0 damage from any attack that would take over 10% of her max health.
- Tweaked specialized damage resistance formula.
- Now has unique dialogue based on how many times she has been killed prior.
- In Revengeance Mode, whichever one of The Twins enters its second phase first will now become invulnerable until the other has entered its second phase as well.
- Increased Retinazer's Revengeance Mode health multiplier from 1.1x to 1.3x.
- Decreased Spazmatism's Revengeance Mode health multiplier from 1.35x to 1.3x.
Items
- Decreased Alpha Ray's mana cost from 10 to 5.
- Buffed Apoctosis Array's projectile velocity from 6 to 8.
- Nerfed Arch Amaryllis' damage from 90 to 75.
- Nerfed Asgardian Aegis and Elysian Aegis' Elysian Guard's damage, critical strike chance, and defense boosts by 50%.
- Buffed Asteroid Staff's damage from 80 to 110.
- Buffed Augur of the Elements' damage from 60 to 70.
- Auric Tesla armor's healing orbs increment the lifesteal cooldown half as fast.
- Renamed Cadence Potion to Cadance Potion, and it now grants 10% extra health instead of 20%.
- Nerfed Carnage Ray's damage from 32 to 28.
- Nerfed The Community's life regeneration, defense, critical strike chance, and max life boosts by 50%.
- Buffed Cosmic Discharge's damage from 110 to 150.
- Crimsaber's on-hit effect can no longer be triggered by hitting Target Dummies.
- Nerfed The Dance of Light's damage from 230 to 200.
- Buffed Deathhail Staff's damage from 75 to 100, and decreased its mana cost from 18 to 12.
- Demonshade Helm now requires 8 Shadowspec Bars to craft instead of 40.
- Demonshade Breastplate now requires 15 Shadowspec Bars to craft instead of 50.
- Demonshade Greaves now require 11 Shadowspec Bars to craft instead of 45.
- Nerfed Elemental Eruption's damage from 40 to 35.
- Nerfed Elemental Lance's damage from 160 to 135.
- Elemental Quiver's split projectiles are now forced to last for 2.5 seconds.
- Buffed Elemental Ray's damage from 165 to 180.
- Nerfed Fate's Reveal's damage from 83 to 70.
- Decreased Gamma Fusillade's mana cost from 6 to 4.
- Buffed Genisis' damage from 33 to 34, and decreased its mana cost from 9 to 4.
- Decreased Ghastly Visage's mana cost from 30 to 20, and its main projectile is now faster.
- God Slayer armor's god killer darts now last for 3 seconds instead of 5.
- Buffed Golden Eagle's damage from 88 to 108.
- Holy Arrow's stars now deal 50% damage.
- Lifefruit Scythe now heals 1 health per hit instead of 2.
- Nerfed Magnetic Meltdown's damage from 100 to 90.
- Decreased Mana Overloader's magic damage boost from 10% to 6%, and increased its life regeneration penalty when under 50% mana from 3 to 5.
- Mirror Blade's damage is now capped at 666.
- Nerfed Night's Ray's damage form 32 to 28.
- Buffed Phantasmal Fury's damage from 235 to 300.
- Nerfed Phoenix Flame Barrage's damage from 275 to 230.
- Buffed Plasma Rifle's damage from 320 to 350, and its primary projectile now deals 75% of the weapon's damage instead of 65%.
- Buffed Primordial Ancient's damage from 180 to 200, and decreased its mana cost from 30 to 20.
- Buffed Purge Guzzler's damage from 35 to 39.
- Buffed Rouge Slash's damage from 110 to 150, and decreased its mana cost from 55 to 30.
- Nerfed Shadowbolt Staff's damage from 130 to 120, and its beam gains 25% more damage every time it bounces instead of 125% more.
- Buffed Soul Piercer's damage from 65 to 130.
- Staff of Blushie's damage now scales based on double the hit enemy's defense rather than half of the hit enemy's defense.
- Buffed Subsuming Vortex's damage from 75 to 140.
- Nerfed T1000's damage from 160 to 150, and decreased its mana cost from 12 to 8.
- Buffed Ultra Liquidator's damage from 80 to 92.
- Buffed Venusian Trident's damage from 180 to 200, and increased its projectile's speed.
- Buffed Viscera's damage from 150 to 170, decreased its mana cost from 23 to 20, and decreased its healing.
- Nerfed Vivid Clarity's damage from 110 to 80.
Resprites
- Resprited God Slayer Inferno, Holy Flames, and Holy Inferno.
Fixes
- Affliction now properly checks for Revengeance Mode when evaluating the player's Stress level.
- Ghastly Visage's mana cost now properly scales with the player's mana cost reduction.
- Fixed the Leviathan meteor that spawns when talking to the Nurse in Revengeance Mode not functioning properly in multiplayer.
