Anechoic Plating is a pre-hardmode accessory found in Shadow Chests in the Abyss. It reduces Abyss creatures' ability to detect you there, and also reduces the defense reduction from the Abyss to one third.

- This item can also be obtained from the Abyssal Crate after the Skeletron has been defeated.
- When used in tandem with the Fathom Swarmer Breastplate, defense loss in the Abyss is reduced by 80%, rather than 73.6% that would naturally arise from equipping both.
