− | Ok so basically it’s this weird stuff for the draedons arsenal weapons (besides the plasma grenades) and it is kinda annoying and weird to use but you need the draedon power cell and this other thing I forgot the name of (sorry) and you put the power cell into the other thing along with the weapon of your choice and I’m pretty sure that it charges it but it didn’t work for me so I really don’t know. |

Charge is a mechanic implemented by most of the weapons crafted with Dubious Plating and Mysterious Circuitry. For weapons that use the mechanic, it is required for the weapon to be used and depleted as the item is used, similarly to ammunition. Unlike ammunition, it does not directly require an extra inventory slot to use. The amount of damage on a weapon is dependent on its charge under the equation: Total Damage = Base Damage * 1.087 - 0.08 / (Current Charge / Max Charge + 0.07)
While the amount of charge is displayed on the tooltip as a percentage, charge is actually a number that varies from 0 to 250, depending on the tier and usage of the weapon. The amount of charge depleted per use is a constant that varies between each weapon. The amount of charge lost is calculated after item use, meaning the damage penalty will only apply for the next attack.
Charge can be added to weapons via the Charging Station, by inputting the weapon into the top slot, and a Draedon Power Cell at the bottom slot. Each Draedon Power Cell increases the amount of charge by 1 unit and is created every 13.5 seconds at a player-placed Power Cell Factory.
The amount of charge depleted in one single use and the maximum charge for each weapon is as follows:
Items | Charge per Use | Max Charge |
---|---|---|
Gauss Dagger | 0.05 | 50 |
Pulse Pistol | 0.05 | |
Star Swallower Containment Unit | 0.08 | |
Taser | 0.05 | |
Tracking Disk | 0.08 | |
Frequency Manipulator | 0.0125 | 85 |
Gauss Pistol | 0.05 | |
Hydraulic Volt Crasher | 0.032 | |
Matter Modulator | 0.075 | |
Mounted Scanner | 0.85 | |
Galvanizing Glaive | 0.075 | 135 |
Gatling Laser | 0.015 | |
Gauss Rifle | 0.1125 | |
Pulse Turret Remote | 1 | |
System Bane | 0.085 | |
Heavy Laser Rifle | 0.125 | 190 |
Plasma Caster | 0.32 (primary) 0.12 (secondary) | |
Pulse Dragon | 0.32 | |
Snake Eyes | 1 | |
Wave Pounder | 0.5 | |
Phaseslayer | 0.12 | 250 |
Pole Warper | 1.25 | |

Tesla Cannon | 0.9 |
Notes
- The Gatling Laser, Hydraulic Volt Crasher, and Phaseslayer use 0.0075, 0.002, and 0.005 charge per frame respectively. The values above are equal to the amount of charge used multiplied with the amount of use time of these weapons.
