Not to be confused with Deathstare Rod, a summon weapon that drops from the Eye of Cthulhu.

The Eye of Night is a craftable Pre-Hardmode summon weapon. It is the Corruption counterpart of the Flesh of Infidelity. It summons a tiny floating eyeball that follows slightly above the player. When an enemy is nearby, the eye orbits around it and fires cells which stick to enemies to damage enemies up to two times, inflicting the Cursed Inferno debuff. Up to 4 cells can be stuck to an enemy at once.

Its best modifier is Ruthless. The Mythical modifier provides the widest array of stat bonuses, but these primarily affect the initial summon rather than the resulting minion. Additionally, minions cannot deal critical hits. The only lasting advantage a Mythical Eye of Night has over a Ruthless one is knockback.
