The Hydra is a craftable Hardmode classless weapon. When used, it fires fifteen extremely fast bullets that create small explosions when hitting an enemy or a tile. 0.25% of the target's health is added to the damage of each bullet, and another 0.25% from the explosion. If all fifteen of the bullets hit, they can deal up to 7.5% of a target's max health prior to defense and damage reduction calculations.
It exclusively uses Explosive Shotgun Shells as ammo, which can be bought from the Arms Dealer if the player has the Hydra in their inventory.
Once a boss is spawned, the Hydra is only fireable once until the boss is defeated or until it despawns after the player is killed.
The Hydra cannot be reforged, and therefore cannot have modifiers.

- Despite resembling a gun, the weapon has no damage type, making it equally effective for all classes.
- This weapon does not have any critical strike chance and cannot gain any from Accessories, Modifiers, Buffs and Armor bonuses.
