The Matter Modulator is a craftable Hardmode ranged weapon. When used, it fires a spread of three to five unstable matter. Before bouncing, the matter will do 67% less damage to enemies but will infinitely pierce targets. After the projectile bounces off a solid block once, it speeds up and turns to a nearby target. The matter can not bounce more than once nor can it infinitely pierce after bouncing, but its damage is boosted by one-third of the target's defense.
The weapon consumes 0.075 units of charge per use and has a maximum charge of 85.
Its best modifier is Unreal.
