Summons Light Pet Ocean Spirit

The Ocean Spirit when out of water.

The Strange Orb is a light pet summoning item that summons an ocean spirit to follow the player. It is obtained from the Shadow Chests in the Abyss. When equipped while the player is not submerged in a liquid, it sleeps while holding the orb and gives a small amount of light. When in liquid, it swims above the player and provides much more light.

Notes

• The Ocean Spirit is a very effective way to increase your light level in the Abyss.
• This item can also be obtained from the Abyssal Crate after either The Slime God or Wall of Flesh have been defeated.

• The pet draws visual inspiration from Sea Nettle jellyfish.
• Talking to the Sea King with the Ocean Spirit active will display unique quotes.
• The Ocean Spirit's buff tooltip is the same as the Levi's.
