The Tactical Plague Engine is a craftable post-Moon Lord summon weapon. When used, it summons a Plague Jet minion that fires and consumes bullets. It will attempt to fire from above, and will occasionally fire homing missiles instead of bullets, which inflict the Plague debuff and deal 150% of the weapon's base damage. Additionally, it will always align itself horizontally when idle.
Its best modifier is Ruthless. The Mythical modifier provides the widest array of stat bonuses, but these primarily affect the initial summon rather than the resulting minion. Additionally, minions cannot deal critical hits. The only lasting advantage a Mythical Tactical Plague Engine has over a Ruthless one is knockback.

- It is recommended to use the Endless Musket Pouch with this weapon as it gives the player infinite ammo, negating the need to have several stacks of bullets in the player's inventory to use the weapon effectively.
- This summon weapon can be used to great effect when paired with Ichor Bullets as it can inflict Ichor on enemies without the player having to switch weapons.
- However, as the minions shoot quite fast, this can be quite expensive.
